The Course
For children of age 2.5 years old and up.
Classes for:
Toddlers (Children 2.5-3.5years)
Beginners (children 3.5yrs old and up)
Improvers (children) - can swim one or more strokes for a distance of 15 meters or more but needs style/stroke improvement
The instructor reserves the right to move participants from the enrolled class to one which suits them better, depending on progress of the swimmer - this will be at the discretion of the Instructor.
According to SAO, for your child's safety, the accompanied adult must be around and always ready to help out in very short time if something happened.
Children below the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. This is in line with practice in public pools in Hong Kong. The management may request proof of age when necessary.

All those taking swimming lessons do so at their own risk. All the regulations published by the Students Affairs Office governing the use of the Swimming Pool apply to anyone taking lessons. These regulations are displayed at the pool.
University ID cards will be required to be presented to the pool attendant. If your child does not have a HKUST ID Card, a guest ticket will need to be purchased. An adult must accompany all children attending swimming lessons.
Remarks: In case of enforced closure (e.g. Red or Black Rainstorm of signal T8), the instructor will arrange a make-up class. If the student cannot attend the make-up class. a refund will not be issued. That applies only for enforced closure case.
Instructor
Man Kwon Cheung (Coach Mango)- Coach Mango is a certified swimming instructor by the Hong Kong China Swimming Association and he has been awarded the "Coaching Service Award" by the Hong Kong Triathlon Association. He also teaches at Hong Kong Academy (HKA) (primary & secondary) school and Li Po Chun International School (LPC) (secondary).

About the Course
UPC members will have priority in signing up for courses and friends will be eligible to sign up only after the enrollment deadline for UPC members has expired. The tuition fees for guests of UPC members will be 15% higher than that for UPC members.

- For registrations after the deadline, placement is not guaranteed.
- Enrollment for each class will be placed on a first-come-first-served basis until the enrollment quota is FULL.
